 Military Affairs

  •  What if I am currently enrolled in classes at Saint Francis University and am called to Active Military Service?
  • What are the different abbreviations and chapter codes and what education benefits are available for each program?

  • How do I verify my enrollment?

    • If you're receiving the Active Duty or Reserve GI Bill or REAP, use the Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) or call our toll free Interactive Voice Response telephone line at 1-877-VA-ECERT (1-877-823-2378) to verify your attendance.

  • If I am eligible for the Active Duty GI Bill, the Reserve GI Bill, or REAP will I be able to switch to the Post-9/11 GI Bill?

    • If you are eligible for MGIB-AD, MGIB-SR, or REAP on August 1, 2009, and you have met the eligibility requirements for the Post-9/11 GI Bill, you may elect to receive benefits under the new program.

You may wish to visit the VA benefit comparison page before deciding which program you will utilize.

  •  What if a student is only a part-time student instead of full-time student during the semester?

    • Instead of getting full entitlement, the student will only receive a proportionate amount based on the amount of credits he or she is taking, plus the length of the course in weeks. For more information, please visit the Military Affairs Office, located in Padua 228.

  • Can a student use more than one benefit at the same time?
    • A student may only receive payments from one program at a time.
      • Note: The VA will contact a student by US Mail if they are eligible for more than one program to inform student of their options.
