Student Transport Services

The Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development schedules shuttle service to the train and bus stations, and airports in Ebensburg, Johnstown and Altoona. Also, shuttle services can be scheduled to the Fullington bus line in Indiana, PA for trips to and from the Pittsburgh International Airport ONLY.  Arrangements for transportation must be made at least 3 DAYS prior to the actual date of departure. All late requests will be denied. Please contact the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development in the John F. Kennedy Student Center or call Ext. 3005 for further information.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

1. Arrangements for transportation must be made IN PERSON at the Administrative Offices in the upper level of the JFK Student Center during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday). No reservations left on voice mail or email, or forms left at the JFK Information Desk, or left after regular office hours will be considered. Students seeking transportation back to campus must make their arrangements prior to departing campus. Return shuttle fees must be paid prior to departing campus.
2. Scheduling and payment for transportation MUST prior to departure in advance during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday). Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
3. DURING VACATION PERIODS: There is a limited amount of space for seating. Therefore, there will be a maximum of one (1) piece of luggage per person.
4. DURING VACATION PERIODS: If transportation for the return trip cannot be made before you leave, contact the Administrative Office in the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development at (814) 472-3005 during regular office hours before leaving from home. Please remember during breaks and holidays the office will operate on a revised schedule. Due to limited seating in all vehicles, there is no guarantee of transportation at the requested time. If all vehicles are filled at the time transportation is needed, there will be a waiting period for the people NOT signed up in advance. Payment MUST be made to the driver upon boarding.
5. If you are using the Fullington Bus Line (out of Indiana, PA) for trips to or from the Pittsburgh International Airport, the scheduling of this bus is the sole responsibility of the student.  The Center for Student Engagment & Leadership Development is not responsible for the student's reservation of this service.
6. Due to unpredictable weather conditions that may occur, we cannot guarantee timely shuttle service because of poor road conditions.
7. Due to the limited number of seats available, students can not arrive at the station or airport and automatically expect a ride even if the van is there. Priority is given to those students who have prearranged their transportation needs.
8. The majority of students obtain rides from fellow students. There are a number of bulletin boards in the JFK Center and other areas of campus where ride request may be posted. If posted early enough, a ride is usually obtained. Or check with your resident assistant or classmates to see if anyone may be traveling to your area.
