The Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development, located in the JFK Center, reports to the Vice President for Student Development at Saint Francis University. Our department oversees nearly 70 student-run clubs, organizations, fraternities, and sororities on campus. We function as the chief advisors/mentors and coordinators to all of our student leaders as they plan their programming, events, and daily activities. Student involvement truly is the keystone that brings the whole college experience together. Without experiential learning, students will lose-out on many of the opportunities to apply "real-world" tactics in working with others and in dealing with challenging situations. It is in these opportunities that we find tomorrow's leaders leading today. As members of our campus-community, students are expected and strongly encouraged to involve themselves outside the classroom within teams, clubs, organizations, and other areas of campus life in order to develop their confidence and proficiency in responsible citizenship. The Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development prides itself in being the home of student-leadership development on campus and therefore offers many opportunities and experiences for all students to develop the necessary skills and abilities to be fully contributing members of society.
