View the 2009 Academy Video The Saint Francis University Environmental Engineering Design Academy is a week-long residential experience designed to provide an opportunity for talented high school students to experience the engineering design process. Students will gain first-hand project-based experience with the work that environmental engineers do. Students will participate in projects ranging from building and piloting a cardboard boat to cutting-edge problems in electric vehicle engineering, robotics technology, and alternative energy. These projects will be followed by field trips to see real engineers working on full-scale versions of these same problems at local tech-driven companies. |
